Why does the Vedic day differ from my mechanical clock?

Standard Gregorian calendars tick to a new day at arbitrary midnight (12:00 AM). In classical Vedic chronometry (Sūryasiddhānta), a day (Ahorātra) commences exactly at Sūryodaya (Astronomical Sunrise)and continues until the following dawn. The active Tithi, Nakṣatra, and ruling planet reflect this solar reality.

How do voluntary Dakṣiṇā offerings and patronage work?

Muhūrta is 100% free with zero paywalls. In accordance with Apple App Store Review Guideline 3.1.1, users may optionally offer voluntary Dakṣiṇā to support indie development, server ephemeris data, and open research:

How do I restore my previous purchases or subscriptions?

If you change devices or reinstall Muhūrta, open the app, navigate to Profile -> tapContribute & Seva (or the Dakṣiṇā button) -> scroll to the bottom and tap Restore Purchases. StoreKit will automatically synchronize with your Apple ID.

Why does Muhūrta require location access?

Astronomical sunrise, solar noon (Madhyāhna), twilight (Sandhyā), and Tithi transitions are purely geographic. A person in New York experiences sunrise hours away from someone in Ujjain or London. Your location is processed strictly on-device using local mathematics and is never uploaded, tracked, or shared.

How can I cancel an Annual Seeker Patronage subscription?

Subscriptions are managed securely by Apple. To cancel or modify your patronage: Open your device's Settings -> Tap your Apple ID Name -> Tap Subscriptions -> Select Muhūrta -> Tap Cancel Subscription.
